PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Iron is an essential element for the synthesis of haemoglobin of the blood and the metabolic activity of many enzymes. The lack of iron reduces the efficacy of enzymes at the metabolism of animals and leads to the delay of their physical development.
The combination IRON and DEXTRAN  offers injectable products, from which the iron becomes progressively free. The combination has almost totally replaced salts of iron, because it is:
•    Easy to use
•    Effective for fighting preventively and therapeutically of anemia of different animals, especially of the anemia of piglets.

IRON DEXTRAN TETOROS:
•    Secures prevention and effective treatment in all cases that it is observed lack of iron, at piglets and at other animals.
•    It has quick and practically full absorption by organism, and exquisite tolerance topic and systematic.
•    It has low viscosity, so the injection is done easily.

INDICATIONS
IRON –DEXTRAN is proposed for:
•    Piglets: Prevention and treatment of sideropenia
•    Calves: Preventively: At calves, by birth weak
     Therapetutically: At sucker calves , for prevention and treatment of sideropenia
•    Generally, in all cases of luck of iron and in all types of anemia (by bleeding, parasitic diseases, infections e.t.c.) For all animals

 DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
•    Piglets: for the prevention of anemia. Between the 2nd and the 5th day after birth. More suitable is considered to be the 3rd day.
•    Calves: for prevention: the first week of their life
At piglets the intramuscular injection is done at their thigh .At calves, it is done at the base of their dorsal muscles of the cervix, near the gemma of their head.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Historic of hypersensitivity at the substance, accute renal insufficiency, animals with luck of vitamin E  /selenium

INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICAMENTS
It is not recommended the simultaneous injection with other drugs in the same syringe, because it is possible to reduce the tolerance and the efficacy of the drug
