PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Flumequine 50% is a white water soluble powder. Flumequine is a fluoride product of cinolone and it is known for its low prices MIC at intestinal bacterias. Flumequine has an anti-bacterium spectrum that it is due to the inhibition of biocomposition of DNA, because of the inhibition of the enzyme DNA –gyrasis that exists at prokaryotic bacterias.

INDICATIONS
Infections caused by bacterium sensitive at flumequine and especially colibacteridiasis, salmonelosis, and pasteridiasis of breeder hens and broilers
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral administration in addition with the potable water.
The recommended dosage is:
Poultry: 20 mg of flumequine per kg of body weight daily
Especially, the product dose is:
Poultry: 200g per 1000 lit of potable water, for 3-5 days
CONTRA INDICATIONS:
Not to be administered to laying hens.
UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Are not observed when the product is administered at the recommended dosage.
INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICAMENTS
Flumequine should not be administered simultaneously with trimethoprime, sulfonamides, fenylboutazole and hydrocortisone, because it is possible to accelerate its elimination. The simultaneous administration of sulfate colistine reduces the bioavailability of flumequine that is administered orally

Flumequine is administered usually in dose of 12-15mg/kg/of body weight, when LD50 for the most species is 1340mg/kg, after orally administration

Direct contact with the product must be avoided, due to the possible appearance reactions of hypersensitivity at flumequine. For those reasons, the use of gloves and masks is recommended

Edible tissues: 3 days
STORAGE
2 years.
After diluting the product into the potable water, the solution must be renewed every day.
